Work stress alone can be challenging. Our Native communities come with unique challenges. Providers, educators and staff often absorb the stresses of a traumatized individual or community.
Assuming your employees have the internal tools to address these stressors may be doing them a disservice. These stressors often present as absenteeism, poor work performance, disengagement, addiction, and numerous other symptoms that affect, performance, health and family.
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is designed to assist employees during these times. It is beneficial to have someone in your corner to offer short term counseling on skills and tool development.
Program Highlights
Employees are eligible for up to 4 confidential sessions with a counselor for the employee and eligible family members each calendar year. Consultations may be face-to-face or over the phone, sessions are per household. These sessions are intended to be short term, problem solving or advice oriented. For deeper issues it may be necessary to refer to therapy.
Confidential Counseling
Trained counselors with a Masters or Doctorate-level degree are just a phone call away. They’ll listen to your concerns and work with you addressing issues such as:
• Anxiety
• Stress
• Depression
• Difficulties with children
• Job pressures
• Grief and loss
• Substance abuse
